Vegan Hawaiian Style Tuna Poke

Ingredients

  • 230g vegan tuna, sashimi
  • 25 sweet onion, small (thinly sliced)
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp arame seaweed, soaked and drained
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp gochugaru
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • sushi rice, seasoned and cooked (to serve)
  • cucumber, to serve
  • avocado, to serve
  • furikake, to serve

Instructions

Cut your vegan tuna into small, bite-sized cubes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed vegan tuna with finely chopped onion, sliced spring onions, shredded seaweed, soy sauce, sesame oil, a pinch of salt, and gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes). Mix well until everything is evenly coated.

Serve the poke over a bowl of seasoned sushi rice and top with sliced cucumber and cubed avocado as desired. Enjoy chilled!
