Prep Time: 10m | Cook Time: 5m | Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 3/4 head iceberg lettuce, washed, roughly chopped and spun
  • 2 tsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Vegan oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • Vegetable oil, to fry
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 slice of ginger

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop, wash and spin your lettuce dry. In a small bowl, mix the sauce ingredients: soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil and a little sugar. Set aside.
  2. Heat a bit of oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Fry garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add the lettuce. Stir quickly, pour in the sauce and cook for just a couple of minutes. You want the lettuce to stay slightly crisp. Discard the ginger pieces before serving.
  3. Serve hot with freshly steamed rice. This dish will change the way you look at leftover lettuce forever!
